Captain Jesus Gomez

Captain Jesus, born in Cartagena Colombia, comes from a long line of sea-faring ancestors. So, it's no surprise that six years ago when he came to Aruba looking for adventure, he eventually found it on board the Mi Dushi. After five years he still has tremendous passion for his work, loves navigating the sea, finds enormous satisfaction in helping people and has earned the title of "Champion" rope swinger. He speaks several languages, including English and Spanish. He considers his greatest strength to be his professionalism and his greatest  fortune to be be able to work with the Mi Dushi  Crew, a team dedicated to providing outstanding service while truly enjoying their interaction with their guests.

First Mate Ryan Ibarra
Our first Mate Ryan hails from Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Arriving in Aruba 10 years ago, five years later Ryan joined the Crew of the Mi Dushi and ever since has been the "right hand" of Captain Jesus. His favorite part of his job is the interaction with the Guests and his daily goal is to create an extraordinary sailing experience for everyone onboard. His ability to speak four languages, including English and Spanish, his warm, radient smile and his great love of people make this charismatic sailor one of the reasons our Guests keeping coming back.

Second Mate Carlos Montrose
Soon after Second Mate Carlos arrived in Aruba eight years ago from Puerto Cabello Venezuela he was invited to a wedding onboard the Mi Dushi. It was love at first sight and he made it his goal to join the Crew. Two years later his dream became reality and he has never wanted to work anywhere else. Each voyage on Mi Dushi brings Carlos the opportunity to do what he does best, working with people and making each Guest feel welcome and well-cared for. His favorite experiences onboard are helping novice  Snorkelors overcome a fear of the water and  watching them discover the wonders of sea-life.

Hostess/Bartender Maria del Carmen Millan

From the moment you step onboard, you can feel the warmth and charm of Hostess Maria del Carmen. Born in Cali, Colombia Maria del Carmen moved to Aruba 10 years ago and for the past seven years has been employed with Aruba Adventures. In order to serve onboard the Mi Dushi she had to overcome two obstacles, learning English and learning to swim. Successfully accomplishing both led her to her present position where she loves working with people, being a part of the Mi Dushi "family" and showing the Mi Dushi Guests why it is the best sailing experience in Aruba.

From time to time we have a "guest" appearance from one of our former Captains, Captain Mario Maduro and Captain Ziggy Potterson.

Captain Mario
Captain Mario was born in Aruba, went to sea at age six in his father's two-man fishing dory and has since sailed over 50,000 nautical miles along Aruba's coast. He speaks five languages, free dives to 60', has been known to recover honeymooners' wedding rings and dances a smooth and sensational merengue.

Captain Ziggy
Captain Ziggy, also Aruban-born, gained fame for his quick wit, fun snorkeling lessons and extensive mechanical and sailing skills. He claims to speak six languages, free dives to 65' and can dance the salsa with the best.

For many years these two Captains navigated the Mi Dushi and earned the reputation of the best professional sailing masters in Aruba. Captain Mario is now First mate of the Rainbow Runner, a group charter fishing vessel and Captain Ziggy is a First Mate onboard a Valero Refinery tugboat. Our loyal customers still write to us today asking for the two most experienced and friendliest seadogs and we're delighted to let them know they're still around and still do occasionally command the Mi Dushi when they have a day off and want to remember the good old days.
